But, before we can get to the juicy stuff, there are some things you need to know when it comes to working and connecting with Archangels.

 

Archangels can only step in to help you if you ask.

 

Yes, I said it! ASK! It doesn’t matter how often, or how small/big it is, all you have to do is just ask for help to connect with archangels.

 

They will be there lickity split to help you in any way they can.

 

They are also omnipresent, which means they can be with multiple people at the same time without any energy being taken away from their power.

 

Remember, we’re working with divine beings of light.

 

Their whole purpose and passion are to help humans! Isn’t that cool?

 

Okay, let’s roll with this now that you understand that you are magical AF and are just inches away from this beautiful connection that is about to rock your world!

Top 3 Tips to Connect With Archangels

 

1. CLEAR THE CLUTTER

 

This is the moment you make the decision to clear the clutter and release the things that no longer serve you. But, what does this mean?

 

This means making the clear and conscious decision that you are willing to unravel the veil that fogs your clarity.

 

Let’s face it, life can be a rollercoaster, and there are times that we hold onto old emotions, situations, and people because we are too busy, or don’t know how to release it.

 

That energy begins to create a layer of fog which clouds our connection.

 

Once you make that decision to heal and return back to your shining, magical, soulful self, you will see that the connection becomes much easier!

 

  • Journaling

 

No, it doesn’t always have to be this long story every single day.

 

Trust in your intuition and what you need for that day, and get ‘er done!

 

  •         Exercising (yes, believe it or not!)

 

But don’t worry! It’s not a “hey I can’t make it in today because I’m walking like a baby giraffe from all the squats I did” unless that’s your thing.

 

It can be a quick jog, a long walk, or one of the latest Beachbody videos.

 

Whatever your preference is, do it! This helps to get energy moving and grooving.

 

Oh, did I mention you could even have your very own dance party? Now that’s more like it!

 

  •         Eat them veggies!

 

Stay away from stimulants, alcohol, and/or processed foods.

 

These food and drinks tend to lower your vibrational energy causing you to feel lower and not so connected.

 

I like to tell my clients, everything in reasonable amounts.

 

But if you catch yourself grubbing in on processed foods every day, you may want to take a different route!

 

Not only is this great for connecting with the Archangels, but also great for your health!

2. INTUITION

 

Intuition is an obvious part of this process, but many people don’t know exactly how to go about building a solid relationship, none the less take action upon its guidance.

 

You know that little voice in your head that says, “you should really get home right now because you work at 7 am”, even though you want to stay out and hit that 1 am taco truck?

 

Yeah… that’s your intuition and it’s there to keep you on track!

 

So, why intuition for asking Archangels to guide you?

 

Easy! When Archangels manifest or bring you guidance, they do so in various ways.

 

Sometimes it is through angel numbers, feathers, and even songs.

 

Other times it is a gust of wind that feels much more than a gust of wind, or a coin that suddenly appears.

 

You have to be in a place where you won’t question what it is that you’re experiencing, and lean into your intuition that says, “YES!! And Archangel sent me this message!”

 

So, how do you do this?

 

  •         Practice Mindfulness

 

A couple times a day, practice asking your mind these questions, “what do I see”, “what do I hear”, “what can I feel”, and “what do I smell”.

 

These help to expand your connection, bringing mindful energy to your being on all levels of the ethereal body: mental, physical, emotional, and energetic.

 

  •         Bring Awareness

 

Much like mindfulness, this technique helps you to be more aware of your thought patterns, physical feelings, and emotions, which allow you to understand the energy that is around you.

 

Trust me, when the Archangels start presenting their energy to you, you will definitely understand why this is important!

3. TOOLS FOR SUCCESS

 

Okay, okay, now that we’ve gotten to the nitty-gritty of the work that should be explored, we can have fun diving into the tools to help attract and invoke the Archangels.

 

Connect with archangels and bring them into your space so that they can share with you all the loving energy they have to offer!

 

  •         Angel or Oracle Cards

You don’t need to be a guru or a professional to start pulling a card a day for yourself.

 

In fact, I recommend it because it also is a great tool to build your intuition!

 

Grab a deck that calls to you and makes you feel like it’s too pretty to put down.

 

Dedicate yourself to pulling one card a day, and explore the details of it.

 

Practice your mindful technique, and ask yourself what that card means to you! Don’t question it, just feel!

 

  •         Sage, Incense, and/or Essential Oil

 

The biggest part of why this is so beneficial is because Archangels, and angels in general, are attracted to the vibrations of flowers and herbs.

 

Roses, frankincense, sage, and citrus are just a few on the list.

 

I always recommend setting the intention to cleanse, clear, and protect the space, and I would use these in conjunction with your angel card, journaling practice, or anytime you are in a place of opening up your heart to connect!

 

As far as which one to use, it is really up to you. I personally like to use sage with dried rose petals to get the best of both worlds.

 

But, I also carry peppermint oil with me to calm my, sometimes, an overactive mind so I can stay aligned.

 

Remember, there is no right or wrong! Do what FEELS right for you!

 

So, now that you have all that you need to get started, just remember this…

 

This connection has everything to do with you and what you are ready to experience, and just like anything, it starts with your decision to make it happen.

 

Ask, and you will receive.

5 Exciting and Unusual Ways To Boost Your Intuition

Tuning into your intuition is the BEST way to get ANSWERS to all of your QUESTIONS in life.

 

There are many, many ways to boost intuition. Most of them, you’ve heard before - they either don’t work for you, or you’re already doing them.

 

But you’re still after better results, or perhaps you’re overwhelmed with all the different choices available.

 

So, here are five exciting and unusual methods to boost intuition that you may not have tried before!

Develop your intuition

1. Surround yourself with rich indigos and purples

 

Indigo and purple are colors that are brimming with a lot of the psychic, Universal and deep energy that we need to connect with.

 

Science tells us that just being around certain colors really does affect our emotional state.

 

Blues and greens are calming, which is why they are common in hospitals.

 

Orange and yellow can motivate us, but it also makes us very hungry!

 

How many food outlets can you think of with prominent orange or yellow walls, decorations or logos?

 

Take control of the power of color by surrounding yourself with indigo and purple.

 

Choose these hues when you dress or put makeup or nail varnish on.

 

Create an altar space of meditation point with colored sheets, or add some purple and indigo crystals to your collection.

 

If you dislike indigo and purple and don’t own much of it, you can even set your desktop/phone background to these tones for free.

 

If you can’t fill your daily life full of purple and indigo, find a piece of paper the right color and sit and focus on it for a few minutes each day.

 

2.  Meditate in the Shower

 

One of the main reasons that we struggle to find our intuition in this modern age is that there are too many distractions!

 

We are glued to our devices, even if we think we aren’t.

 

There is so much information coming at us that we don’t take the time to mull over and think on.

 

Tasks or spaces with little incoming information help us think.

 

This is why good thoughts and ideas often come to you when you are driving, or in the shower, or washing the dishes.

 

They’re all repetitive tasks that don’t require much brain power, and if you do them in silence there’s very little to distract you.

 

You will often find your intuition speaking to you in these moments.

 

These are already good spots for mindfulness, where drawing your mind back to the present moment will aid you.

 

However, you can make some of these tasks take up even less of your brain power.

 

This seems silly, but trying shutting your eyes in the shower!

 

Of course, you can open them if you need to find the soap, but you know where your own body is.

 

You don’t need to look at it to wash it.  We spend so much of our waking time constantly jammed into our senses.

 

This overloads our brain. Removing one of your senses for short time can be beneficial in lots of ways.

 

3. Monitor, Don’t Censor, Your Self-Talk

 

We tend to have three modes when it comes to self-talk. Ignore, believe, censor.

 

If you’re in ignore mode, you’re going through your life never stopping to wonder what it is that you think or believe about anything.

 

If you’re in believe mode, you believe whatever it is that your mind chooses to spit out.

 

That you’re a terrible mother for forgetting your kids' homework, or that you’re ugly because you have spots and a mysterious extra ten pounds that sticks around.

 

If you’re in censorship mode, you slam down any negative thought because ‘positive thinking is great’.

 

By doing this you’re only pushing these thoughts deeper and deeper into your mind, where they will fester.

 

This is how you get blocks!

 

Try and remember that thoughts are not instructions in order to boost your intuition.

 

Just because you thought something uncharitable, or brought up some difficult thought about yourself doesn’t mean you have to do it or feel it.

 

Just accept the thoughts for what it is - a bit of mental chatter that appeared in your head.

 

Don’t pass judgment on thoughts.

 

Keeping an eye on self-talk is important - it shows you your real dreams, your fears, and what you’re hiding from yourself.

 

But don’t engage with it - the mind is a tricky thing and would nothing more than to distract you by making you think of pineapples whenever you try to probe too deeply.

 

To prove my point, let me know in the comment whether you were eating, drinking or growing that pineapple you just thought of.

4.  Record your dreams

 

Dreams are very important in more ways than one.

 

Dreams help file and filter your surface thoughts back into your unconscious, but your brain will also work through traumas and events during dreams that may have been bothering you subconsciously for years.

 

Carefully recording and analysis of your dreams will help you unlock negative behaviors and cycles, allowing you to really release the past once and for all.

 

Try keeping your notebook or phone near your bed so you can record them as soon as you wake up.

Write down as much as you remember first, then interpret it on a separate page.

 

Record the dream as faithfully as you can, before you lose the details by over-analyzing.

 

This way, you can look back in a month or a year and still know exactly what you dreamt about.

 

You might find you will interpret the dream differently that you first had.

5.  Boost your meditation with crystals

 

Different crystals will work with your intuition in different ways.

 

Amethyst is a great one to use while you sleep.

 

It creates a comforting environment and helps you process information at night.

 

It’s also a really good stone for beginners.

 

Kyanite really loosens up your intuition and helps you hear it more clearly.

 

Black tourmaline keeps you grounded, which will help to balance you out.

 

Selenite helps dispel negativity, which makes it easier to hear your intuition over those noise of your mind.

My story about color therapy started when I was very young. I have always loved colors around me, my childhood room was literally a rainbow and my favorite color changed constantly.

 

As I grew older I learned that I could sense colors and their vibrations. I could feel and see colors that others couldn’t.

 

One thing I remember clearly was coming home from school a handful of years ago.

 

I walked into our living room and there was this huge green with a bit of brown shape in the middle of the room. I told my mother and she just stared at me for a while before finally telling me why.

 

It turned a friend of our family had just earlier that day planted a tree of life in our living room.

This really opened up my gift with colors for healing and using them around myself and the people around me. Today, I can feel what color a person needs to be surrounded by to restore balance or if, for instance, they are blocked or have pain in their body.

 

This why I want to talk about healing colors and their benefits in this post. 

Why Are Colors Amazing?

 

Colors have the ability to shift our moods, influence our emotions, some work cooling, some warming and they can bring balance to our soul and body to heal blocked areas and pain. Colors, like many other things, mean something different depending on who you ask so it is important that you feel and ask your body/mind what it needs.

 

If you feel pain in your body, that is typically not the root cause. Often it has something do to with your mental state – to get the most effective healing don’t look up the color for the physical problem, instead ask yourself what color is needed to treat what is causing the pain.

 

It is about finding a color that can treat the root, not the symptom. You can find the colors meaning and then pick one put I have found that it is more effective if the color comes from you or someone else asking for you.

How To Find The Needed Color

 

Firstly, I want to mention that you don’t have to experience pain or feel something being blocked to use colors.

 

Use it in your everyday life asking yourself what color(s) you should surround yourself with for support and balance. Open up and trust what comes to you.

 

Whether you are feeling pain, feeling blocked or if you want a color to support you, close your eyes and tune in. Focus on yourself or if you are experiencing pain; the place where it hurts/is blocked.

 

If you want to, you can also place a hand there. Take a few deep breathes while focusing. A color (or multiple) might have already popped up, if not, now ask what color(s) you need to help you.

 

Trust what comes to you. Some people see the color, the word of the color pops into their head, others feel it or hear it and there are no wrong ways to do it.

 

This was how I started receiving colors and as my ability grows I can now just ask and a color appears, sometimes a color even appears and tells me what to do with it.

What Do You Do With The Color?

 

There are different ways you can surround yourself with the healing colors that you need. – There are no wrong ways to do it, you can’t do any harm. After or when you are receiving the color – ask how/where it should be placed.

 

Listen and trust yourself. Some ways I use colors are:  

A beam of color: I have found this method to be good for pain relief. Ask for your color, close your eyes and visualize a beam of the color hitting the spot that hurts. Visualize the spot decrease.

 

Repeat as many times as you need for as long you need until you feel a shift.

A shield: Whenever I go out I like to put a shield of color around me for protection. This is great for everyday use and something you can also do for others (with permission).

 

This works wonders if you are sensitive to others, like me, because it can shield you from their energy and emotions.

Crystals: Find crystals/stones with the color you need and have it around you. Under your pillow, on your nightstand, in your pocket or wherever your mind tells you to keep it. When you are done with it, rinse it with cold water.  

Have it physically around you: There are many ways to have the color(s) physically around you: It can be in the form of decor, wearing the color with clothing, eat foods that are the color you need, tape/place a crystal with the needed color on your body. Having the color around you is great for support and balance.

Use your hands: If you want to, close your eyes. Otherwise rub your hands together until you feel them heating up.

 

Visualize the color between and around your hands. When you feel the energy, place them on/around the spot that needs healing.

 

Keep them there while taking deep breathes until you feel a shift.

Using Color Therapy

Color therapy is all about listening to your intuition and trusting what you get. However, you choose to do it, say thank you to the color(s) and to yourself for letting you heal. If you find it hard to focus or if you don’t feel like you are getting anything keep trying. When you are new to it, it can take time to fully open the door but once you do you will thrive in color.

 

Have the color around you until you feel that it’s done until you feel a shift and that you no longer need it.

 

If you feel the need to not have it around you anymore, listen and remove it. It has done what it was meant to do for you.

 

To amplify your color healing surround yourself with nature, notice the colors around you, have living plants in your space, be grateful, drink lots of water and do meditative activities like walking, being creative in any way or meditate in silence or with calming music.

7 Tips to Find Life Balance and Alignment Every Day

What is Life Balance and Alignment?

 

Alignment is one of the hot-button words that you see in all over social media.  But what really is alignment and having life balance? How do you know you are out of alignment? And why do you even want to be in alignment?

 

Actually, alignment is different for everyone since we are not all the same. For me, being in alignment with a flowing life balance is like a natural high.

 

It feels like everything is going right, I am completely happy and blissed out no matter what is going on around me.  

 

I seem to always be at the right place at the right time for amazing things to appear in my life. It’s as if nothing could possibly go wrong.

Can you be partially in alignment and life balance?

 

I believe we can.  As humans, there is a part of us that is always connected to Source, and that there are varying degrees of that connection.

 

Isn’t that what makes us long for more? The awakening and longing for a deeper meaning and more from this time on Earth?

 How Do You Get Into Alignment?

 

Everyone is different so your quickest way to being blissed out might not be the exact same as someone else.

 

Here are the ways I have personally experienced the fastest results, as well as ones that have worked wonders for my colleagues and clients:

 

1. Be in nature!  This can be as simple as sitting on a park bench or going on a hike.  The important thing is to be in your surroundings.

Notice every single leaf, rock or bird; feel the breeze on your face; smell the trees and see all the different colors that Mother Nature has gifted you.  Be in the moment, detached from your everyday life. Do this for as long as you can, however, even 10 minutes can do wonders!

 

2. Write!  Did you hear the collective moaning on that one?  I am the biggest procrastinator when it comes to journaling.

 A big blank page just can stifle creativity! That’s why using a calendar works amazingly.  Just jot a couple of sentences every day. You can start with what you are grateful for or how you are feeling.  Just do it. In a week or two, you will be so surprised how much progress you have made mentally and emotionally! Seriously, journaling can do wonders.  

 

3.  Routine!  Get into a daily ritual of doing something for yourself.  We are all busy so keep it simple; a long hot bath dreaming of your perfect vacation; meditate; read a chapter in a book; listen to a podcast; or sit and stare out the window.  Just do it at least once a day and you might find that your mind body and soul look forward to these moments.

 

4.  Create!  Remember coloring as a child?  All the hours spent trying to stay in the lines and using all 64 colors so that your picture was the best?  

Honestly, staying in the lines was never one of my favorite things but I love how freeing it was for my mind when my hands were creating. Grab a puzzle, knit, paint, bake or color!

5.  Laugh!  Oh my gosh!  When was the last time you had a good belly laugh where you almost peed your pant?  

 

If you can’t think of a good joke or have someone near that can make you laugh on command, check out social media or google “spell check gone wrong”.  Whatever it is, just laugh. Laughter releases so much pent-up energy and negativity.

 

6.  Exercise!  Could you hear me groan on that one?  I hate to exercise. Living on a farm makes me pretty active, that’s my excuse anyway.  

My stiff body feels otherwise. When my body is stiff it’s my sign that negativity is stifling movement so off to the gym I go, even if it’s just to hop on the treadmill for a bit, do yoga or take a Zumba class.  Even though I hesitate to exercise, I am always glad I did. Get that body moving!

 

7.  Community!  This one is tricky. It’s very important that you surround yourself with high vibe people.  Gossiping or bitching isn’t going to help you get into alignment. It will only increase the negativity.

 

Finding a community doesn’t have to be face to face. Joining groups that are positive and enlightened can serve as support just as if they were your neighbors.  Again, do this with discernment.

As you can see, being in alignment doesn’t have to take 23 hours a day.   It’s actually possible to do all of these every single day, 10 minutes here and 10 minutes there.  When days seem more stressed or it feels as if every light is red, do more.

 

When you experience alignment and life balance, even for a few seconds, you change everything in your world.  Science has proven that when you raise your vibration, you raise the vibration of those around you.  Life balance is for you, selfishly you, as it should be. You are helping the entire planet get high and blissed out naturally.

3 Ways To Shift From Fear to Love

 

So, here are some quick tips for you to overcome fear and shift to love in under 5 seconds:

 

 Think of 3 things youre grateful for. This will immediately shift your energy and perspective to what truly matters in life. Pause, take a breath and think of three things and then notice the difference in how you choose to respond.

Lower your attention to your chest and heart space, and consciously respond to the person or situation as if youre speaking from your heart. Its amazing how much wisdom our heart contains and when you reply to someone from your heart

 

 Up your meditation practice. Try a ‘loving kindness’ meditation or you can listen to a heart focused meditation recorded by me, here.

And my final bonus tip, is to smile.

 

Honestly, this might seem simple, but our body reflects our mind and our mind reflects our body.

 

Often, when we are stressed and shut down in a fear state we are feeling anything less than happy.

 

Shifting into a smile can almost trick you to feel grateful and happy and it can very powerfully change your perspective.

Ever stand in front of the mirror reading out the affirmations you have taped up there and just feel blah?

 

Do you wonder how to use affirmations more powerfully to help you manifest your desires?

 

Do you feel like you’re doing everything right but the words are not connecting, it doesn’t resonate with you on a deep level?

 

They aren’t lifting you up but rather make you feel a bit inadequate because of they are looking at who you want to be, not who you are right now?

Yeah, I’ve been there.

 

There are a couple of important things to note with affirmations to experience the full power of them, and one pretty big secret.

 

Too often, our affirmations are generic.

 

They are generalized statements that could fit anyone.

 

This is great in a group setting because you need everyone to feel it, but when you’re saying them to yourself every day, we need IMPACT.

 

Stop being generic and speak straight to your heart.

 

Use affirmations that are BEST for YOU. So, how do you pick the right ones? I’m going to give you two ways to do this.

 

  1. Chat with someone who loves you and tell them you need a pick me up today, ask for some compliments!

 

They love you, they’ll be happy to give them to you. Not only will you both feel really good after, but you can pick out which happy, kind, loving words of theirs’ really struck a chord with you.

 

Which ones “hit home?” Make those into affirmations for yourself, those are the words you need to hear daily.

 

2. Pay attention for at least 3 days to every mean thought you think about yourself. What are you saying to yourself?

 

Write them down and then write it again in a loving, caring and supportive way.

 

Practice as if you had heard your best friend say these mean words to herself. 

 

Maybe she was complaining about a breakout and you stopped her and said, “No, your skin doesn’t hate you, it is working to heal and protects your body from outside elements, it protects you from harm and I am grateful for your skin.

 

It is beautiful and it is healing and will heal fully.”

Use Your Affirmations By Phrasing Them Powerfully

 

So, now that you have some personal affirmations, you need to make sure they are phrased correctly for optimal impact.

 

This is the secret KEY on how to use affirmations. They must align with what you BELIEVE. You must believe them, that they are true or at least can become fully true.

 

It must resonate with you.

 

If you doubt them, (whispering “yeah right” in a tiny voice in your head) you will not reach the vibrational frequency it takes to draw them to you. Vibrations match each other.

 

The key is to feel it as if it is, in order for it to be.

 

So, when learning how to use affirmations, most people will tell you to state things as you want them in the present tense like they are already true.

 

Logically that makes sense right? If you are trying to feel as if it is for it to be, which we are because that’s exactly how vibrations will align.

 

BUT because it is all about feeling, it MUST feel true, connected and honest to us, we cannot be experiencing doubt.

 

To do this, put all your focus on feeling the FEELING of what it will be like when this affirmation does come true.

 

That means acknowledging and feeling gratitude and love for where you are right now, in this present moment and connecting with the elation of what it feels like when this comes true, knowing and believing it is possible.

 

Do you see the power in that?

Instead of just saying “I have gorgeous, clear skin” and being filled with “No you don’t, you have constant breakouts, it’s not beautiful, it’s certainly not clear” in that critical, inner narrator voice we all have, we want to start from where we are and be filled with words we BELIEVE that supports our affirming, love statement.

 

Maybe something like, “I am grateful for my skin, it protects me and is healing right now. My body, my skin has the potential to heal itself fully and completely and that feels amazing!”

What Is Smudging and How to Use Smudging Tools?

You can use smudging tools to cleanse your space of stagnant and negative energy.

 

This is commonly done in a sacred space before a ritual but can be done at any time.

 

I smudge and cleanse my space before I begin a project, during New Moon and Full Moon rituals, and after events where I have people in my home. I also do it almost daily before I begin my day at my desk.

 

This helps clear out old "vibes" and gives my space a cleansed feel.

Our ancestors from many cultures practiced the act of burning sacred herbs to clear energy during ceremonies and to practice magical rituals.

 

If you decide to pick up the practice of smudging and using smudging tools; I encourage you to learn as much as you can regarding rituals and their history.

 

Various forms of smudging are considered time-honored traditions that are sacred to many cultures.

White Sage Smudge Stick - TwistfulThinking

How to Use Smudging Tools To Clear Your Space.

 

A Smudging Kit will typically consist of items that represent the 4 elements of the of life.

 

Earth - Unlit Herbs

Air - Smoke from the burning herb.

Fire - Herbs that are lit and have a burning ember.

Water - represented by the Abalone Shell.

 

Sacred Herbs: There are various herbs you can choose to burn during a smudging ritual.

 

The most common are Sage Flowers and White Sage. Some of the additional favorite herbs are Rosemary, Thyme, Bay Leaves, Cedar and my favorite Palo Santo wood.

 

These typically are bundled together and tied with string.

Abalone Shell: can be used to hold the herb while you are smudging. Can use any other fireproof bowl or receptacle.

Bird Feather: Feathers are used to fan and direct the smoke to where you want it to go.

 

I have been taught to specifically use a feather in lieu of blowing on the smudge stick with your breath.

Set The Intention & Create An Affirmation

Take a moment to think about why you are smudging.

 

You can create an affirmation such as "Please cleanse my space to rid it of negative energies".

 

Light Your Smudge Stick

Fan the flame with your feather until you have a strong smoke. Fan the flame all the way out so just the embers are left burning.

 

Place your burning smudge stick in your abalone shell or hand and fan smoke around yourself first (don't forget to lift each foot and smudge underneath!).

 

Move The Smoke

Open a window or door to allow the smoke and stagnant energies to escape.

 

Then fan the smoke around your space be careful not to neglect high corners.

 

You can recite your affirmation as you smudge your way around your space.

 

Visualize the negative energy leaving and being replaced with pure and high vibe energy.

 

Once complete you can extinguish the burning smudge stick in your abalone shell, outside in dirt of the earth, or another fireproof vessel.

 

TIPS

I often smudge first with Sage to rid the space of negative energies. I then go back again with Palo Santo which brings in positive energies.

 

Many people (including myself) find themselves with a weird off balance feeling when just using sage alone.

You can visualize and silently repeat your affirmation as you do a quick spritz.
